Introduction

With over 21 years of experience in public service, Advocate Ravi Vyas has been a dedicated advocate for the residents of Mira Bhayander City. A well-educated, young, and personable individual, Ravi Vyas is a lawyer by profession. He earned his B.Com from Hinduja College in 2005 and his LL.B. from Mumbai University in 2008.

Throughout his career, Ravi Vyas has held various positions, consistently working to strengthen the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Mira Bhayander and improve the local governance system. He has been a vocal advocate against corruption in the Municipal Corporation, addressing numerous public issues such as the poor condition of the government library, infrastructure challenges, sewage systems, healthcare, education, employment, drinking water shortages, and waterlogging. His dedication to development and public interest has made him a respected figure in the community.

Social Services

In 2011, Advocate Ravi Vyas founded the Narsimha Charitable Trust to further his commitment to public service. As the president of the trust, he has spearheaded various social initiatives within the Mira Bhayander constituency. These efforts include:

  • Providing educational facilities for underprivileged children.
  • Organizing medical camps and distributing food and clothing to those in need.
  • Offering legal assistance to ordinary citizens and helping them fight for justice.

Advocate Ravi Vyas is deeply connected to Sanatan culture and actively organizes religious events for the community, such as Dahi Handi, Ganesh Utsav, Navratri Utsav, and Chhath Puja. He also provides financial support for temple organizations and religious programs.

 

Politician Journey

2005: While studying at Hinduja College, Ravi Vyas began his political career by leading students and actively participating in student union politics.

2007: Ravi Vyas played a key role in his mother, Mrs. Sudha Vyas, defeating the then-corporator and current MLA, Geeta Jain, in the Shiv Sena Gali Ward (a women-reserved ward).

2012: Ravi Vyas was elected as a corporator from Bhayander West, securing a decisive victory over his opponent.

2014: In February 2014, Ravi Vyas joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Mumbai under the leadership of Gopinath Munde, Devendra Fadnavis, and Vinod Tawde. At that time, BJP was in the opposition in Mira Bhayander, with the NCP holding strong control over the region. Despite these challenging circumstances, he worked tirelessly to strengthen the party. His efforts contributed to BJP’s success in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections under the leadership of Narendra Modi, and in the Assembly elections, BJP won the 145 Mira-Bhayander Assembly constituency. He was appointed District General Secretary under the leadership of Hemant Mhatre, a position he held until 2021.

2015: After joining the BJP, he once again secured a landslide victory in the ward by-elections. This victory proved instrumental in enabling the BJP to secure the Mayor’s position in Mira Bhayander.

2017: Ravi Vyas was elected for the third time as a corporator, continuing his dedicated service to the people.

2018: He became the youngest Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation.

2021–2022: He was appointed District BJP President of Mira Bhayander. Despite challenging circumstances, he successfully strengthened the party and built a robust organizational structure.

2023: Ravi Vyas was entrusted with the responsibility of Election In-charge for the 145 Mira Bhayander Assembly constituency.

2024: He was appointed as the head of the BJP’s Pravas Yojana (Outreach Plan) for the 145 Mira Bhayander Assembly constituency. He worked extensively to strengthen the organization and ensure the party’s success in the Assembly elections.

2026: Ravi Vyas was elected as the Corporator from Ward No. 7 in the Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC), reaffirming the people’s trust in his leadership. Following this significant victory, he was appointed as the Leader of the House (Sabhagruha Neta) in the Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation, taking on a key leadership role in guiding the municipal administration and representing the ruling party in the House.
